Technical Consultant

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Technical Consultant to join our team, dedicated to optimizing operational data management and supporting refinery operations. You will play a critical role in managing and optimizing operational data, ensuring efficient and accurate reporting. The successful candidate will report to the company Application Administration Manager and work closely with plant personnel to deliver data-driven insights and solutions.

Job Description

• Manage and maintain operational data systems to ensure data integrity and availability.
• Collaborate with plant personnel to gather requirements and develop customized data reports and dashboards.
• Utilize Power Apps, Power BI, and SQL to develop and deploy solutions that enhance data accessibility and usability.
• Ensure proper data governance and compliance with industry standards and company policies.
• Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
• Provide training and support to plant personnel on the use of data management tools and applications.
• Continuously improve data management processes and tools to meet evolving business needs.

Skills Required

• Minimum of 3 years of industry experience, preferably within the oil, gas, or energy sectors.
• Proficiency in data management, including hands-on experience with Power Apps, Power BI, and SQL.
• Strong comfort level working with and within databases.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively with plant personnel and cross-functional teams.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience in refinery operations or similar industrial environments.
• Knowledge of company applications or similar data management platforms.
• Familiarity with industry standards and best practices for data governance and management.

Education/Training/Certifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation Engineering, or a related field.
