Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical and electrical (single and three phase) knowledge and experience in industrial and facilities maintenance, ensuring that all equipment and systems are functioning optimally. This role involves both preventive and corrective maintenance tasks to ensure high standards of safety and efficiency.
We have one day shift position (7:00 am - 7:00 pm) and one night shift position (7:00 pm - 7:00 am) available. We operate on a "Continental" 2-2-3 shift in which you will work (7) 12-hour days out of 14 days in a two week period. Working every other weekend will be required as a part of this shift.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance on mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
- Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) for tracking work orders and maintenance schedules.
- Fabricate components as necessary to support repairs and upgrades.
- Provide exceptional customer service by responding promptly to maintenance requests from staff or tenants.
- Troubleshoot electrical issues using tools such as an Ohmmeter to diagnose problems effectively.
- Collaborate with other departments to coordinate maintenance activities with minimal disruption.
- Perform all planned maintenance (Preventive & Predictive) assigned in a timely manner and use Computerized Maintenance Management System to log in all planned, reactive and emergency activities
- Performing breakdown analysis
- Upgrading production lines with new equipment and/or technology
- Working with outside contractors
- Work effectively within the team environment
- Complying with GOOD MANUFACTURING PRACTICES, safety, and audit standards
- Working independently under limited supervision (self-management)
- Regular, reliable, predictable attendance
- Completing Quality /Food Safety training and adhering to the Food Safety Pre-Requisite Programs
Experience
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance or a related field is essential.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in electrical systems (single and three phase) is required.
- Familiarity with CMMS software for managing maintenance tasks is preferred.
- Leadership experience in supervising teams or projects is a plus.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups.
- Ability to fabricate parts or components as needed for repairs or improvements.
