What are the responsibilities and job description for the Finance and Operations Lead position at The Crypto Recruiters?
Responsibilities:
- Tax & Compliance: Ensure all tax filings (federal, state, local) are submitted on time.
- Financial Planning: Track monthly burn rate and project runway.
- 1099 Management: Collect W-9s, reconcile fiat/crypto payments, and coordinate filings.
- Transaction Reconciliation: Maintain accurate records for fiat and crypto transactions, resolving any discrepancies.
- Vendor & Contractor Oversight: Manage invoices, streamline submissions, and resolve payment issues.
- Expense Reporting: Compile and share monthly expenses with leadership.
- Process & Tool Optimization: Manage tools like Xero and Coinbase, improving workflows and automation.
- Token Vesting & Asset Distribution: Set up investor/team vesting schedules and handle distributions.
- Market Maker Coordination: Negotiate and onboard new market makers.
- Team Travel: Organize travel logistics for offsites and conferences.
Requirements:
- 2–4 years in operations, finance, or accounting (crypto experience preferred).
- Proficiency in tools like Xero, Brex, and Mercury; familiarity with crypto platforms (e.g., Coinbase).
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Problem-solving skills, especially in reconciling fiat and crypto transactions.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
