Our client, a charter school is seeking a Data Associate to join their team.
- This is a long-term temp job with potential to convert to a perm position.
- The work schedule is Monday – Friday; 5 hours per day for a total of 25 hours per week.
- The pay rate is $25.00 per hour.
Job Summary:
The Data Associate plays a crucial role in managing, organizing, and analyzing data to support the school’s educational initiatives. This position is essential in ensuring the accuracy, security, and accessibility of student and school data while collaborating with staff to streamline reporting and enhance data-driven practices. Daily tasks include, but are not limited to, maintaining accurate records of student attendance, academic performance, assessments, and demographic data, as well as generating regular and ad-hoc reports to support administrators, teachers, and stakeholders. Additionally, the Data Associate will ensure compliance with federal, state, and district data reporting regulations.
Position Overview:
• Develop the necessary skills to manage and maintain school-wide data systems, including PowerSchool, School Messenger, Schoology, ATS, Google Workspace, and attendance tracking systems.
• Collect, analyze, and interpret school data to assist instructional teams in creating a data-driven learning environment.
• Prepare annual reports for the NYC Department of Education, BOCES, and other regulatory bodies.
• Perform data entry and conduct data audits to ensure accuracy.
• Identify and resolve data-related issues that impact multiple departments.
• Integrate data across different platforms to streamline processes.
• Lead the creation and distribution of surveys for faculty, students, and families using Google Forms.
• Support tasks related to enrollment and academic program management.
• Lead strategic initiatives related to data management, student records, and data security.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
• Must be capable of self-learning and maintaining digital data in an organized manner
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially in advanced Excel skills, and Google Workspace.
• Minimum of two years of college coursework; an associate degree is preferred.
• Strong analytical, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Strong multitasking abilities, self-motivation, and the ability to meet deadlines.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
• Familiarity with charter schools is a plus.
• Experience with any student information system is a plus.
