The Role:
The Workday People Analytics Analyst will be responsible for leveraging data and analytics to support HR and organizational decision-making processes. This role will involve gathering, analyzing, and interpreting data related to employee performance, engagement, retention, and other HR metrics to drive strategic initiatives and improve overall workforce effectiveness. In this role, you will have the chance to leverage your expertise and knowledge to improve the company's investment in our employees through complex analysis, compelling storytelling, and data visualization.
Must have previous experience with Workday People Analytics
- Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar
- Experience with Workday Report Writer, Dashboarding, Discovery Boards (Prism is a plus)
- Microsoft Suite proficiency (advanced Excel)
What You'll Do:
- Data Collection & Support: Gather HR data from various sources, respond to ad-hoc requests ensuring data accuracy, and provide end user support.
- Analytics & Reporting: Conduct detailed analyses of HR data to identify trends, patterns, and insights. Create models to provide insights on decisions (correlations, "What ifs”) and forecasting. Develop and maintain regular HR dashboards and reports for senior leadership.
- Project Management: Partner with stakeholders to understand their needs and provide data-driven recommendations and insights. Translate high-level business objectives into consistent, accurate, efficient, and effective reporting and analysis.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for improving HR processes through data insights and recommend solutions
- QA & Documentation: Carry out testing and validation of reports/dashboards to ensure they are working as expected. Create documentation of requirements and design decisions.
- Compliance & Security: Ensure data privacy and compliance with relevant regulations in all analytics activities
What You'll Need:
- Bachelor's degree, preferred in Business, Market Research, Statistics, Economics or Computer Science or related discipline (but not required to be in these disciplines). Masters preferred
- 3-5 years of experience in Analytics, experience in the HR domain is required
- Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar
- Experience with Workday Report Writer, Dashboarding, Discovery Boards (Prism is a plus)
- Microsoft Suite proficiency (advanced Excel)
- Strong ability to analyze, interpret, and visualize complex data sets, with a keen attention to detail
- Capable of critical thinking and solving problems in creative, sustainable ways
- Ability to manage projects and stakeholders successfully and understand multi-division dynamics
- Comfortable in a dynamic and fast-paced environment that requires flexibility/adaptability with changing priorities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present findings to non-technical audiences
- Self-motivation with the capability to work autonomously and make independent decisions when appropriate to meet deliverables without significant oversight
- Demonstrated experience with discretion and confidentiality working with real-world data
