We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Landscape Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for gardening, have tree trimming experience, lawn care, and hardscaping, and will be responsible for maintaining the beauty and functionality of our outdoor spaces. This is a hands-on position that requires a strong work ethic, physical stamina, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Duties:
- Perform a variety of tasks to maintain our gardens, lawns, and hardscapes, including pruning, weeding, and mulching.
- Trim and prune trees to ensure their health and safety.
- Maintain irrigation systems and ensure that they are functioning properly.
- Dig and plant new gardens and hardscapes as needed.
- Assist with snow plowing and salting during the winter months.
- Monitor and control pests and diseases in our gardens and lawns.
- Perform regular lawn care tasks such as mowing, fertilizing, and aerating.
- Collaborate with our landscape architects to design and implement new outdoor spaces.
- Operate and maintain a variety of landscaping tools and equipment, including lawn mowers, trimmers, and shovels.
- Work safely and efficiently, following all safety protocols and guidelines.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience in groundskeeping, lawn care, or a related field preferred.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects and tools.
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor for extended periods.
- Familiarity with landscaping tools and equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
- Valid driver's license preferred.
- Knowledge of hardscaping and irrigation systems is a plus.
