The Cutting Edge, a premier landscaping, land clearing, and tree trimming company based in the stunning island of Kauai, is seeking an organized and detail-oriented Office Manager to keep our operations running smoothly. In this role, you’ll oversee payroll, manage QuickBooks, handle emails, coordinate scheduling, and perform essential administrative duties. We’re looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and loves contributing to a team that shapes Kauai’s natural beauty.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process payroll accurately and on time, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Manage financial records using QuickBooks, including accounts payable, receivable, and reconciling bank statements.
- Handle incoming and outgoing emails, serving as the primary point of contact for clients, vendors, and team members.
- Coordinate scheduling for crews, equipment, and client projects, ensuring efficient workflow and timely service delivery.
- Perform general administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, answering phones, and maintaining office supplies.
- Prepare invoices, track payments, and assist with budgeting or financial reporting as needed.
- Maintain employee records, including timecards, leave requests, and onboarding paperwork.
- Support the team with ad-hoc tasks to keep the business thriving in Kauai’s unique environment.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an Office Manager, Administrative Assistant, or similar role with a focus on payroll and bookkeeping.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize in a dynamic setting.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for managing emails and client interactions.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional training in bookkeeping, payroll, or office administration is a plus.
- Detail-oriented and comfortable handling sensitive financial and employee information.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with a tight-knit team.
