5-10 person Seed startup based here in Manhattan is hiring for an MLOps / Machine Learning Engineer. The firm builds an AI tool for hedge funds and other financial firms, and they're currently looking to hire a Machine Learning Platform Engineer.
This is a hybrid on-site position in their Downtown, Manhattan office. US Citizens or GC holders only, the base salary varies from 130k-180k plus equity.
Machine Learning Platform Engineer – Stealth AI Startup
- Focus on building and optimizing ML infrastructure, particularly on-premises systems, to support high-performance, secure computing environments for financial technology; this role does not involve building ML models.
- Design and implement scalable infrastructure and high-throughput data pipelines for ML workloads across GPU clusters, with GPU optimization as a plus but not required.
- Develop and maintain observability and monitoring tools for distributed ML systems, implementing testing frameworks and CI / CD practices to enhance productivity.
- Collaborate closely with AI research scientists to translate research ideas into production-ready systems, with an emphasis on secure and robust infrastructure design.
- Requires 5 years in software engineering with a focus on ML infrastructure, strong Python skills, and experience with ML frameworks and on-premises infrastructure; primarily hands-on, with potential for growth into leadership.
