About the Role: As a PRN Medical Respite Worker you will provide support and care for individuals experiencing homelessness who are in need of medical respite services. Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience working with individuals experiencing homelessness or in a similar vulnerable population.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and basic healthcare procedures.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Must be available to work overnight, weekend, and holiday shifts
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in a medical respite or transitional housing setting.
- Certification in CPR and First Aid.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct care and support to individuals experiencing homelessness who are in need of medical respite services.
- Monitor and evaluate the progress of residents, documenting any changes in their condition and reporting to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
- Facilitate access to additional support services, such as mental health counseling, substance abuse treatment, and housing assistance.
Skills: In this role, you will utilize your strong communication and interpersonal skills to establish rapport and build trust with individuals experiencing homelessness.
