Job Summary: A part-time position providing psychiatric care for children and adolescents experiencing housing instability or homelessness. Daily Planet is a federally designated Healthcare for the Homeless and Public Housing clinic. This position is primarily responsible for utilizing professional skills in providing trauma-informed diagnosis and treatment of psychiatric disorders to child and adolescent patients. Position will work closely with child and adolescent behavioral health clinician, as well as medical providers and case managers to offer integrated care. Psychiatrist provides care consistent with medical best practices and the policies and procedures of the organization. Protects the dignity, privacy and confidentiality of patients and their families.
Job Requirements: Board Certification in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry with a current license to practice in Virginia. Three (3) to five (5) years progressive experience preferred. Expected time commitment is 8 hours per week – onsite preferred, remote is possible. Must exude excellent oral and written communication and professional interpersonal skills. Must be qualified in Basic Life Support techniques.
