Job Summary:
The Purchasing and Warehouse Manager is responsible for the procurement of goods and services, the receipt, storage and dispatch of goods essential for the company’s operations. This role ensures cost efficiency, supplier reliability, and inventory optimization while maintaining high standards of quality.
Key Responsibilities:
· Research and identify suppliers for required products and services.
· Obtain and review quotes, proposals, and purchase requisitions.
· Place and follow up on purchase orders to ensure timely delivery.
· Receive material into the software system in a timely and proficient manner.
· Maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure timely delivery and quality.
· Clear communication with team on purchasing needs and timelines.
· Monitor and manage inventory levels to minimize excess and shortages.
· Optimize procurement costs without compromising quality.
· Collaborate with finance and operations teams to align purchasing budgets.
· Supervise the daily operations of the warehouse, including receiving, storing, and dispatching goods.
· Maintain accurate inventory records and conduct regular audits.
· Ensure proper labeling, organization, and storage of items to facilitate easy retrieval.
· Maintain a clean and hazard-free warehouse environment.
· Identify areas for process improvements and implement cost-saving measures.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
· High school diploma or equivalent
· Proven experience (5 years) in purchasing and warehouse management
Skills and Competencies:
· Strong negotiation and communication skills.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office
· Analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving abilities
· Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
· Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred, but not required.
Work Environment:
· Primarily warehouse-based with potential exposure to varying temperatures and noise levels.
· May involve physical activity, including lifting and moving heavy items.
· Occasional extended hours during peak periods, or after-hours emergencies
