Job purpose:
To professionally coach teachers in the use of instructional strategies and skills that will enable each student to master core content standards appropriate to age, grade level, and individual capacity through effectively supporting, guiding and influencing the practice of teachers and their instructional efficacy.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Resource Provider: To expand teachers’ use of a variety of resources to improve instruction
- Data Coach: To ensure that student achievement data is used to drive decisions and monitor student achievement at the classroom and school level
- Curriculum Specialist: To ensure implementation of the adopted curriculum
- Instructional Specialist: To align instruction with curriculum to meet the needs of all students
- Mentor: To increase the novice teacher’s instructional skills and to support school wide induction activities
- Classroom Supporter: To increase the quality and effectiveness of classroom instruction and interventions
- Learning facilitator: To design collaborative, job-embedded, standards-based professional learning
- School Leader: To work collaboratively (with formal and informal leaders) to plan, implement, and assess school change initiatives to ensure alignment with and focus on intended results, and to monitor transfer or practice from professional learning into action
- Change Catalyst: To create disequilibrium with the current state as an impetus to explore alternatives to current practice
- Learner: To constantly seek to become better at what he/she does; network with district and school-based instructional coaches in developing, implementing, and researching effective instructional practices and frameworks
**Perform other duties as assigned by authorized representatives of the Board of Education
Qualifications:
Valid Georgia Teacher Certification
Minimum 3-5 years of successful teaching experience
Reports to:
Principal
This position is for the 2025-2026 school year.
Salary : $49,052 - $92,360
