Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Host to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, ensuring a warm welcome and a smooth dining experience. This role requires excellent customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage guest relations effectively in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests upon arrival with a warm and inviting demeanor.
- Manage reservations and seating arrangements using the Aloha POS system or similar technology.
- Assist guests with inquiries regarding menu items, restaurant services, and special events.
- Maintain an organized waiting list during peak hours to ensure efficient seating.
- Provide exceptional guest services by addressing any concerns promptly and professionally.
- Collaborate with restaurant staff to ensure seamless communication regarding table availability and guest needs.
- Uphold high standards of cleanliness and organization at the host stand and dining area.
- Demonstrate strong phone etiquette when taking reservations or answering guest inquiries over the phone.
Experience
- Previous experience in a hotel or restaurant setting is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with POS systems, particularly Aloha POS, is a plus.
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest relations and satisfaction.
- Ability to work efficiently in a busy environment while maintaining professionalism and composure.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with guests and team members.
