What are the responsibilities and job description for the Barback position at The Dandelion?
The Barback is responsible for assisting the bartender and beverage team keeping the bar areas stocked, clean, and organized.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Assist in bar setup, opening, and closing responsibilities
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Maintain DOH and Company sanitation standards
• Stocking the bar stations to par and maintaining pars throughout service
• Maintain glean glassware as needed
• Become familiar with products and proper storage locations
• Greet guests promptly and courteously
• Ability to assist with bartender and server needs
• Ability to work efficiently, prioritizing tasks to improve service
• Ability to perform job functions with minimal supervision
• Assist with orders, inventory, and organization efforts as assigned
• Maintain standards of excellence in product and service quality
• Complete additional tasks at the direction of management
JOB REQUIREMENTS
• Able to stand for an 8-10 hour shift o Able to lift glass racks of 25lbs
• Able to carry trays up to 40lbs
• Able to climb stairs and ladders
• Able to repetitively lift glass racks, trays, and other items
• Able to reach above the head and stoop to put items on the floor or on shelves
• Able to read and speak English
• Able to work as part of a team for the benefit of the guest
• Able to work in a consistently fast paced, loud environment
