What We Are Looking For:
Our client is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable AWS Security Analyst to join our team. The successful candidate will focus on AWS security remediation and security architecture, ensuring the robust management of our cloud security posture. This role requires a deep understanding of regulatory frameworks including SOX, RAAS, PCI, and PII, and the ability to implement and manage compliance processes effectively.
Responsibilities:
- Work alongside audit teams who are experts in their respective frameworks, delivering evidence artifacts to demonstrate key risk objectives and strategically address compliance
- Understand AWS operational and technical control environment, using high judgment to demonstrate and communicate control posture to customers and stakeholders globally
- Facilitate our ability to grow and scale internal compliance processes and mechanisms to meet global compliance and regulatory expectations
- Serve as a subject-matter expert on AWS security controls
- Manage evidence lifecycle for supported global, third-party, and customer audits across US, APJ, and EMEA regions
- Communicate to leadership key risks and areas for program improvement, seek diverse opinions, and coordinate improvement efforts
- Dive deep into the AWS control environment to develop a broad domain and technical understanding of AWS control activities and implementation to articulate compliance to key stakeholders
- Bridge communication with key stakeholders and AWS technical communities to articulate control implementation
- Evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of compliance program activities and recommend improvements to enhance delivery at scale
Qualifications:
- Ability to learn and comprehend regulatory requirements, control implementations, and operational effectiveness
- Strong understanding of AWS services and IT and compliance processes
- Ability to evaluate opportunities for improvement and influence across organizations and teams
- Experience with audit and compliance activities, particularly in a cloud environment
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders
- Experience in managing evidence lifecycle for audits across various regions including US, APJ, and EMEA
