This is a seasonal position, depending on the regional location.
Job Duties
Responsibilities:
- Lead, assist, and train the landscape crew in maintaining and enhancing turf and grounds.
- Conduct warm-up exercises, job briefings, and safety meetings.
- Provide feedback, recognition, and coaching to crew members.
- Set up work sites, assign tasks, monitor crew performance and perform final site walk-throughs.
- Operate and maintain various landscaping equipment.
- Provide excellent customer service to customers.
- Debrief daily assignments and collaborate with management.
- Adhere to all safety rules and report any incidents.
- Track and report team hours.
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 21 years of age to be a Department of Transportation (DOT) certified driver for specific vehicles or equipment.
- Valid Driver’s License. Class B CDL valuable, but not required.
- Ability to complete required safety courses upon hire.
- Ability to complete Davey Career Development Program (CDP) books.
- Ability to acquire applicator licenses as necessary per state requirements.
- Ability to operate power equipment.
- One year of experience in landscaping or grounds maintenance.
