Job Description
As a Commercial Horticulture Trainee, you will be responsible for enhancing the appearance and value of properties through the cultivation of shrubs and trees. Your duties will include planting, spraying, weeding, fertilizing, and watering plants, shrubs, and trees. You will also be required to transplant seedlings, cuttings, trees, and shrubs, as well as maintain and repair irrigation and climate control systems. Additionally, you will drive, use, maintain, and properly operate landscape equipment.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you must have enthusiasm for proper plant care and arboriculture. A love of the outdoors, positive attitude, and willingness to learn are essential qualities for this position. You should also possess collaboration and communication skills, as well as the ability to report for work regularly and punctually. A driver's license is required, with a commercial driver's license being highly valuable.
