What are the responsibilities and job description for the Family Services Coordinator position at The Davies Project?
The Davies Project (TDP) is seeking a qualified Family Services Coordinator to oversee all family intake, communication, scheduling, and monitoring. TDP is a Lansing 501c3 nonprofit organization that provides transportation to medical appointments for children with long-term or serious health challenges, as well as expectant moms to prenatal appointments and parents to the NICU to visit their newborns.
Required:
- Solid computer skills: Microsoft Word, Excel, Google Docs
- Strong organizational skills to handle scheduling of transportation needs
- Respect for, sensitivity to, and understanding of cultural and socioeconomic differences
- Effective interpersonal and phone skills
- Ability to understand and strictly observe the confidentiality of riders’ personal, health, and medical care provider information and locations
- Serve as back-up driver when needed
- Ability to complete general office tasks
- Valid driver’s license, current auto insurance, and safe driving record
- Successfully pass a criminal background and sex offender check
Preferred Candidate Has:
- Proficiency in Mac platform
- Skill set to learn Assisted Rides tracking system
- Ability to work independently, troubleshoot, and conduct and complete assigned tasks in a timely manner
- Available to work in the office and on occasion remotely (when there are remote needs/events)
General Responsibilities (examples do not include all tasks which may be required of the position and are subject to change at any time):
Coordinate all family business, scheduling, and activity
- Oversee family intake, communication, and rider scheduling
- Answer phone and log all calls
- Serve as point of contact for Assisted Rides drive scheduling program
- Manage and maintain ride/driver schedule and ride data in Assisted Rides
- Keep volunteer drivers apprised of drive changes, etc.
- Serve as substitute driver when needed
