Cornelia’s upscale cuisine at The Davis Community.
Named after founder Champion Davis’ mother, Cornelia’s is a neighborhood restaurant featuring cooking with a modern twist. Menus highlight locally sourced comfort food, craft brews and creative cocktails from the full bar.
We are open to the public and located in the gated Davis Community. The gates will open as you approach them.

We offer competitive wages! Our Hosts are paid $14.00 per hour plus tips.
PURPOSE:
The Host/Hostess is responsible for greeting and welcoming customers when they enter the restaurant, showing customers their seats, and providing them with a menu.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
· Greet and welcome customers when they enter the restaurant and place them on a waiting list if necessary.
· Provide customers with server names and menus when seated.
· Seating customers at tables and answering any initial questions about the menu.
· Inspect menus for cleanliness and clean them when needed.
· Maintain knowledge of the menu.
· Engage with customers to ensure a great customer experience.
· Maintain a clean reception area.
· Answer incoming calls if required.
· Provide excellent customer service.
· Greet customers when they leave the restaurant. Thank them for dining with us.
· Assists wait staff with serving as needed.
· Other tasks as requested by management.
· Obey all federal, state, local, and OSHA laws.
Requirements
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND WORKING CONDITIONS:
· Familiar with health and safety regulations.
· Excellent communication skills
· Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
· Strong organizational skills with the ability to monitor the entire dining area and bar.
· Understanding of restaurant etiquette.
· Ability to work under pressure and maintain a positive attitude.
· Ability to stand for long periods of time.
· Physical job demands may be subject to possible modifications to reasonably accommodate individuals with disabilities
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: High School Diploma preferred
Experience: 6 months as host/hostess or waiter/waitress
An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
