We are open to the public and located in the gated Davis Community. The gates will open as you approach them.

BASIC PURPOSE:
The Restaurant Server is responsible for answering questions about the food and menu items, taking orders, and communicating orders to kitchen staff. The server will ensure that tables are served properly with quick and efficient service to maximize guest satisfaction.
MAJOR WORK ACTIVITIES:
1. Takes food and drink orders from customers by writing them down or memorizing accurately.
2. Communicates orders to kitchen staff by accurate computer entry.
3. Maintains a positive attitude and provides excellent customer service.
4. Greet customers and seat them in order when they arrive.
5. Ensure the timely delivery of food and beverages by checking on their tables periodically through service time.
6. Knowledge of the menu, with the ability to make suggestions.
7. Maintains and displays knowledge of the menu and makes suggestions when appropriate.
8. Ensures tables are enjoying their meals and takes action to correct any problems.
9. Prepares checks that itemize and total meal costs and sales taxes.
10. Helps with food preparation staff and cleaning as needed.
11. Obeys all federal, state, and local laws.
12. Completes other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND WORKING CONDITIONS:
· Works in a well-lighted, temperature-controlled area.
· Physical exertion including continuous standing and walking. Frequent stooping, reaching, handling and lifting of objects weighing up to 25lbs.
· High level interpersonal and communication skills.
· High level customer service skills.
· Ability to work in fast passed environment.
· Ability to handle money accurately and operate point-of-sale system.
· Minimal exposure to infectious diseases.
· Physical job demands may be subject to possible modifications to reasonably accommodate individuals with disabilities.
Requirements
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: High School Diploma or GED
Experience: 1 year of work experience in restaurant service or customer service is preferred.
An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
