Autocad Designer

We are seeking a skilled Design Drafter to support the mechanical design and layout of custom control enclosures, as well as perform drafting tasks for assigned proposals and projects. This role primarily utilizes AutoCAD Lite and SolidWorks Electrical to create detailed mechanical and electrical designs. A working knowledge of Emerson products, third-party components, and computer networking equipment is essential for success in this position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and draft mechanical layouts for control enclosures using AutoCAD Lite and SolidWorks Electrical.
• Design and draft general wiring schematics, segment and loop schematics using AutoCAD Lite and SolidWorks Electrical.
• Create network architecture diagrams and detailed layouts.
• Support sales proposals and the FCS team with drafting and design needs.
• Assist the engineering team with control panel testing (HFAT), document generation, and I/O database management.
• Maintain and expand the CAD library of commonly used hardware components.
• Organize and manage the electronic CAD filing system on the corporate network for assigned projects.
• Prepare submittals and final documentation as required.
• Provide guidance to new drafters or temporary contractors on company drafting standards.
• Ensure high-quality standards in all work processes.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications:

• Proficiency in AutoCAD Lite and SolidWorks Electrical.
• Understanding of process control concepts.
• Ability to interpret P&IDs, electrical schematics, loop drawings, and general arrangement drawings.

Education & Experience:

• Associate degree required (Engineering or related field preferred).
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in drafting or an engineering-related field.
