Job Specs :

60% working predominately in the office with some work from home possibilities.

30% working in the UL508A Panel shop testing and commissioning custom designs.

10% doing field startups throughout Georgia. Possible overnight stay approximately (2) times per year for up to a week

Background Check and Drug Screen Required

Looking for someone with PLC programming, service work, E-Plan, Siemens and Allen Bradley experience.

Responsibilities :

  • Design control panels to meet UL508A / CSA 22.2 standards meeting NEC codes.
  • Program Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), Smart Relays, Human Machine

Interfaces (HMIs), and Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs).

  • Select components to meet specifications including sensors, motor control components
  • VFDs, Overloads, MMPs, Contactors, etc.), user interfaces (lights, push buttons, HMIs,

    etc.), circuit protection (fusing, breakers, etc.), processors / controllers (PLCs,

    Programmable relays, VFDs, etc.), and enclosures.

  • Ability to read and analyze project plans and specifications and create submittals
  • including and identifying any exceptions.

  • Develop and maintain As-Built drawings and document all changes including saving and
  • preserving all related correspondence related to changes.

  • Review and report costs to assist project manager in meeting budget requirements.
  • React to project changes and supplier issues quickly with alternative components and
  • design modifications to maintain project timelines.

  • Facilitate discussions with project stake holders regarding quality issues and schedule
  • forecasts.

  • Quote projects including engineering time requirements and materials specification.
  • Ability to get Siemens PLC Programming and ABB VFD certifications.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by immediate supervisor or management.
  • Qualifications :

  • Proficient with computers and networking as it pertains to programming and connecting
  • to industrial devices.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office : Microsoft Word, Excel, Project, Power Point, and
  • Outlook required.

  • Proficiency with EPlan for electrical drawings.
  • Siemens Tia Portal, Allen Bradley PLCs, and ABB VFDs.
  • Proficiency with HMI, and PLC (ladder logic) programming; Siemens and Allen Bradly
  • preferred.

  • Proficiency with VFDs commissioning and communications; ABB and Allen Bradly
  • preferred.

  • Proficiency in motor controls, circuit protection, and wiring standards.
  • Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills along with strong organization
  • skills; ability to talk to customers from engineering, maintenance, management, and AHJ;

    ability to talk to and relate to panel assembly personnel.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Be a motivated self-starter; ability to work without constant supervision or
  • micromanaging. Ability to set, commit, and fulfill timelines.

  • Ability to learn quickly with excellent capacity to develop skills and contribute using
  • defined processes.

  • Ability to quickly analyze, interpret, and compare detailed information.
  • Four-year college degree in Electrical (Preferred), Software, or Mechanical Engineering.
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in project controls.
  • Valid Driver’s License required.
  • Work Environment :

  • Project variety with designs covering medical, water / waster water, air filtration, and
  • more.
