Facilities Maintenance Manager

Job Title: Facilities Maintenance Manager (Manufacturing)

An exciting opportunity is available for a skilled Facilities Maintenance Manager to lead teams in supporting multiple local sites within a manufacturing environment in southern Connecticut.

The ideal candidate will have experience directly leading Maintenance Technicians and Custodians in manufacturing settings, with a strong focus on team management and facility maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee staff hiring, training, task assignment, and performance management to ensure optimal team performance.
• Provide guidance to employees to ensure tasks and deadlines are met, and establish goals for professional development.
• Monitor team performance to improve efficiency and resolve issues promptly.

Operations and Management:

• Manage facility maintenance, including equipment and systems upkeep, to ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
• Lead and support maintenance teams, coordinate with external contractors, and manage security systems effectively.
• Ensure compliance with safety procedures, perform regular inspections, and oversee facilities' repair and maintenance.

Safety and Compliance:

• Follow and enforce environmental, health, and safety policies, ensuring safe work practices and reporting hazards promptly.
• Ensure adherence to lockout/tagout and fall protection protocols to prevent accidents.

Product Safety and Quality:

• Maintain product safety and quality standards, including GMPs for food contact materials, to ensure customer satisfaction and regulatory compliance.

Requirements:

• 7 years of experience in manufacturing, with 3 years in a leadership role.
• Preferred: Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
• Track record of mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting skills, with project management experience.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving abilities.
• Bonus/Valued: CFM Certification
