Job Title: Facilities Maintenance Manager (Manufacturing)
An exciting opportunity is available for a skilled Facilities Maintenance Manager to lead teams in supporting multiple local sites within a manufacturing environment in southern Connecticut.
The ideal candidate will have experience directly leading Maintenance Technicians and Custodians in manufacturing settings, with a strong focus on team management and facility maintenance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee staff hiring, training, task assignment, and performance management to ensure optimal team performance.
- Provide guidance to employees to ensure tasks and deadlines are met, and establish goals for professional development.
- Monitor team performance to improve efficiency and resolve issues promptly.
Operations and Management:
- Manage facility maintenance, including equipment and systems upkeep, to ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
- Lead and support maintenance teams, coordinate with external contractors, and manage security systems effectively.
- Ensure compliance with safety procedures, perform regular inspections, and oversee facilities' repair and maintenance.
Safety and Compliance:
- Follow and enforce environmental, health, and safety policies, ensuring safe work practices and reporting hazards promptly.
- Ensure adherence to lockout/tagout and fall protection protocols to prevent accidents.
Product Safety and Quality:
- Maintain product safety and quality standards, including GMPs for food contact materials, to ensure customer satisfaction and regulatory compliance.
Requirements:
- 7 years of experience in manufacturing, with 3 years in a leadership role.
- Preferred: Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
- Track record of mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting skills, with project management experience.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving abilities.
