What are the responsibilities and job description for the Manufacturing Engineer position at The Davis Companies?
We're looking for a Manufacturing Engineer with production environment documentation background, ERP and process optimization skills to join a great team. In this role, you'll bridge engineering, operations, and finance to drive efficiency and ensure accurate cost tracking across production operations.

What You’ll Do:
- Analyze and improve manufacturing processes for efficiency and cost-effectiveness
- Create accurate job quotes, routings, and work instructions using ERP and digital tools
- Collaborate across production, sales, and customer service teams
- Interpret blueprints and technical specs for accurate estimating
- Support lean manufacturing and 6S improvement efforts
- Maintain and update manufacturing documentation and instructions
- Participate in safety initiatives and process improvement teams
What We’re Looking For:
- 5 years in manufacturing engineering or cost estimating
- Experience with ERP systems (JobBoss a plus) and digital work instruction tools
- Strong understanding of manufacturing methods, tooling, and materials
- Ability to read technical drawings and apply GD&T
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
