Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Barback to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced hospitality environment. The Barback plays a crucial role in supporting bartenders by ensuring the bar is well-stocked, organized, and ready to serve customers efficiently. This position requires a strong commitment to customer service and teamwork, as well as the ability to thrive in a lively atmosphere.
Duties
- Assist bartenders with preparing drinks and serving customers promptly.
- Stock and replenish bar supplies, including liquor, mixers, garnishes, and glassware.
- Maintain cleanliness of the bar area, including washing glassware and cleaning surfaces.
- Help with the setup and breakdown of the bar before and after service.
- Manage inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
- Provide excellent customer service by engaging with guests and ensuring their needs are met.
- Support food preparation tasks when necessary, including bussing tables and assisting in the kitchen.
- Operate POS systems effectively to process orders and payments.
Skills
- Previous experience in the food industry or hospitality is preferred.
- Familiarity with food handling practices and kitchen operations.
- Knowledge of POS systems, particularly Aloha POS, is a plus.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with guests.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Team-oriented mindset with excellent communication skills.
- Willingness to learn about beverages, cocktails, and bar operations.
