PART-TIME CATERING OPERATIONS ASSISTANT & CONCESSIONS MANAGER, The Delish Dish
We’re looking for a highly energetic, highly organized, self-motivated operations assistant—someone who loves learning all the ins and outs of the catering business and assisting with day-to-day operations. The position of Operations Assistant will include but is not limited to:
- Having passion for providing high-quality food and service to each & every client
- Organizing and packing all equipment and items for each and every catering event
- Conducting weekly inventory of our disposable catering supplies and ordering necessary supplies for upcoming weeks
- Acting as a liaison between the office and our kitchen to determine items needed for individual weddings and events
- The Delish Dish manages the concessions stand at Playhouse in the Park. This position includes assisting in the management of the stand, including delivery of food and candy to the stand, updating our weekly numbers for what is needed at the stand, managing the cash and cash deposits at the stand.
- Driving to various stores to purchase food and items for the coming week, as needed
- Being flexible in your day-to-day tasks to accommodate our ever-changing catering schedule
- Becoming a master in Total Party Planner
- (Who's down with TPP—our catering system? You will be!)
- Be calm in the eye of a storm (aka a big event or client problem—catering is all about the things that can and do happen—no matter how much you plan!)
- Serve as an attendant or bartender at staffed catering events, or working markets for our Made by Mavis Artisan Jam brand
- Being comfortable working with and around people from all spectrums of life

HOURS: Two to three days a week. Tuesdays and Fridays required, with a third optional day. Some nights and weekends required when help is needed at events. As a seasonal business, our schedule varies. Plan on 20 to 36 hours per week, depending on the season.
REQUIRED: a personal vehicle and laptop computer; knowledge of Gmail, Microsoft Office, specifically Word & Excel; excellent Internet search skills; quick learner of new software, a positive attitude, a sense of humor, flexible schedule
ADDITIONAL SKILLS: As a small business, we love when we can put your skills to use in multiple areas! We’d love it even more if you had experience in any of the following: baking or cooking skills; comfortable selling products both online and in person.

SALARY TERMS: $17 an hour, negotiable based on experience.
