Catering Sales and Event Coordinator

Position Summary:
We are seeking a passionate and versatile Catering Sales and Event Coordinator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, exhibit a passion for high-quality food and service, and embody professionalism while working with clients and coordinating events. They will work directly with clients, vendors, and our internal team to ensure seamless execution of events This role combines sales, event planning, and on-site management to deliver exceptional experiences for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Sales and Client Relations:
• Identify and pursue new sales opportunities through networking and digital media inquiries.
• Follow up on sales leads and meet monthly sales targets.
• Conduct client consultations to understand event needs and preferences.
• Develop and present customized proposals and menus tailored to client specifications
• Meet with prospective brides, grooms, and clients to coordinate event details, including menu planning, rentals, and vendor coordination.
• Assist in menu planning, pricing, and development to align with client budgets and company standards.
• Provide outstanding customer service and ensure client satisfaction at all touchpoints.

• Event Planning, Coordination & Execution:
• Act as the primary event planner and coordinator, working with clients to create detailed event plans, including menus, timelines, and logistics.
• Serve as Event Captain during events, acting as a liaison between culinary, bartending, and waitstaff teams.
• Manage up to 20 event staff onsite and ensure top notch customer service and seamless event execution.
• Oversee on-site event setup, execution, and breakdown, ensuring all client expectations are met.
• Provide exceptional customer service during events, addressing any issues promptly and professionally.
• Conduct post-event evaluations to gather client feedback and assess event success.

• Operational Support & Professional Development:
• Master the use of Total Party Planner software to streamline event planning.
• Participate in ongoing education and training to stay updated on sales, marketing, and catering industry trends.

• Adaptability and Leadership:
• Stay calm under pressure and maintain a solution-oriented mindset during unexpected event challenges.
• Exhibit strong leadership in all aspects of event planning and execution.

Requirements:

• Personal vehicle and a valid driver’s license.
• Personal laptop with proficiency in Gmail, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Internet research.
• Outgoing personality with strong interpersonal skills and a sense of humor.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.
• Flexible schedule with availability on weekends, especially Saturdays and Sundays.
• Previous event planning or catering experience preferred.

Compensation and Benefits:

• Competitive hourly wage, commensurate with experience, as well as bonuses for booking large events.
• Minimum 30 to 35 hours per week, with potential for up to 50 hours during busy seasons.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 36 per week
