Job Description
- Monitor grain grades and market conditions to optimize profit margins.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with producers, customers, and end-users through exceptional customer service and dedication.
- Manage risk associated with futures transactions by implementing effective hedging strategies and rolling ownership.
- Foster new markets and expand existing ones through proactive marketing initiatives.
- Communicate effectively with merchandisers, logistics, accounting, facility staff, and customers to ensure seamless operations.
- Utilize cash bids, HTA's, basis contracts, or marketing programs to accommodate customer needs and preferences.
- Provide regular follow-up and consistent communication with producers to ensure satisfaction and loyalty.
- Cold call customers to explore new business opportunities.
- Verify payments, settlements, freight invoices, and grades to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- 1-3 years of computer knowledge and experience.
- 1-3 years of grain experience, preferably in the agrifood industry.
- Strong negotiation skills to secure favorable deals.
- Understanding of logistics and supply chain management.
- Excellent customer relations and communication skills.
