This is a full-time, salary position, Monday-Friday 8am-5pm
Essential Functions and Responsibilities of the Grant Writing Specialist :
Research potential funding opportunities and identify suitable grant prospects.Develop and write compelling grant proposals and applications.Collaborate with program staff to gather information necessary for proposal development.Maintain a calendar of grant deadlines and ensure timely submission of proposals.Review and edit grant proposals to ensure clarity, conciseness, and alignment with funder requirements.Maintain accurate records of grant applications and outcomes in a database.Build and maintain relationships with current and potential funders.Monitor and analyze grant application outcomes and adapt strategies accordingly.Assist in the preparation of interim and final grant reports for funders.Stay informed about trends and best practices in grant writing and fundraising.Provide training and support to staff on grant writing and fundraising strategies.Coordinate with finance teams to prepare project budgets and financial reports for grant proposals.Develop and maintain a library of reference documents and templates for grant applications.Ensure compliance with all grant regulations and funder requirements.Other Duties :

Required qualifications and experience :
Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Nonprofit Management, or a related fieldMinimum of 3 years of experience in grant writing and fundraisingProven track record of securing grants from government and private funding sourcesExceptional written and verbal communication skillsStrong research and analytical skills to identify funding opportunitiesAbility to understand and interpret complex grant requirements and guidelinesProficiency in grant management software and Microsoft Office SuiteStrong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracyAbility to manage multiple projects and meet deadlinesExperience in developing and maintaining relationships with funders and stakeholdersKnowledge of nonprofit sector and funding landscapeAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
