Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Paintless Dent Repair (PDR) Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience working independently and as part of a team. This role is physically demanding and requires manual dexterity, working outdoors in all seasons, as well as the ability to lift 60 pounds. A background in automotive body repair and knowledge of automobile structures is preferred. The PDR Specialist will play a crucial role in ensuring that vehicles are restored to their optimal condition, providing high-quality service to our customers.
Responsibilities
- Use PDR technique to repair dents on doors, fenders, roofs, and hoods.
- Properly use and care for all company-supplied PDR tools and equipment.
- Examine damaged vehicles to estimate cost of repair(s) for dealerships, body shops and retail service customers.
- Walk and inspect vehicle inventory for reparable damage on dealership lots.
- Negotiate and sell work to customers.
- Perform work as outlined on repair orders.
- Document all repairs performed for accurate record-keeping.
- Prospect potential accounts to gain new work.
- Maintain excellent customer relationships.
- Follow all company policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of repair projects.
- Stay updated on the latest automotive technologies and repair techniques.
Qualifications
- Detail-oriented with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Self-motivated and demonstrated ability to work independently.
- Ability to work successfully as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in automotive repair or past PDR experience is a plus.
- Familiarity with auto body repair techniques and auto restoration processes is helpful.
- Proficient in using both hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in automotive technology are advantageous.
- Physical ability to lift 60 pounds (hand tools, tail gates, etc.).
- Must own a reliable vehicle.
- Valid New York State driver’s license and a good driving record.

- PDR is a highly skilled trade; an 8-week training program provided.
