Dental Assistant

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our dental boutique. This position requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

• Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and ready for use.
• Maintain infection control protocols by sterilizing instruments and managing the cleanliness of the treatment area.
• Proficient with radiographs, ensuring proper technique and safety measures are followed.
• Document patient medical histories accurately and maintain up-to-date medical records using electronic health record systems such as Open Dental .
• Provide patient education on oral hygiene, post-operative care, and treatment plans to enhance patient understanding and compliance.
• Support endodontic treatments by preparing materials and assisting during procedures as directed by the dentist.
• Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing patient flow, and handling medical documentation efficiently.

Experience

• Previous experience as a Dental Assistant in a dental office setting is preferred but not mandatory.
• Knowledge of anatomy related to dentistry is essential for effective patient care.
• Familiarity with infection control protocols is required to maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.

Expected hours: 32 – 36 per week
