Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during procedures by providing chairside support and ensuring the comfort of patients.
- Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment in compliance with infection control protocols.
- Take X-rays as needed, following safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate medical records and patient information, ensuring confidentiality and adherence to medical terminology.
- Manage patient scheduling and coordinate office tasks to enhance customer service.
- Perform basic medical coding for insurance purposes and manage medical imaging tasks.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
- Ensure that all systems are organized and that the dental clinic is clean and well-maintained.
Experience
- Previous experience as a dental Assistant in a clinical setting is preferred but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with medical records management, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of anatomy related to dental health is beneficial.
- Ability to perform well under pressure while maintaining professionalism.
- Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment are essential for success in this role.
