Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of dental procedures and patient care, ensuring a smooth and efficient experience for our patients. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the dentist during procedures, maintaining patient records, and ensuring the clinic operates effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the dentist during procedures by providing chairside support and ensuring the comfort of patients.
  • Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment in compliance with infection control protocols.
  • Take X-rays as needed, following safety protocols.
  • Maintain accurate medical records and patient information, ensuring confidentiality and adherence to medical terminology.
  • Manage patient scheduling and coordinate office tasks to enhance customer service.
  • Perform basic medical coding for insurance purposes and manage medical imaging tasks.
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
  • Ensure that all systems are organized and that the dental clinic is clean and well-maintained.

Experience

  • Previous experience as a dental Assistant in a clinical setting is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Familiarity with medical records management, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of anatomy related to dental health is beneficial.
  • Ability to perform well under pressure while maintaining professionalism.
  • Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment are essential for success in this role.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 36 – 40 per week
