The Denver Athletic Club is looking for an on call Banquet Captain to join the team!
WHAT is the job : Banquet Captain! You will be responsible for preparation of events, assigning banquet staff to work areas, reevaluate staff distribution to ensure function set-up times are on track and will be ready as identified in the BEO, coordinate event conclusion time-line with Banquet Manager and outside vendors, conduct pre-shift meetings, execute event according to BEO's, ensure bar and vendor time-line is followed and coordinate clean-up efforts.
WHERE is the job : 1325 Glenarm Place in downtown Denver. The Denver Athletic Club is across the street from the Colorado Convention Center, 2 blocks from the 16th Street Mall and a 3 minute walk from Civic Center Park.
WHEN you would work : We are looking for a candidate with open availability. You must be available to work on the weekends. This is an on-call position with the potential for more hours.
WHO we are looking for : The ideal candidate must have Banquet experience in a supervisory role and private club experience is a plus. You should have an ability to learn or prior knowledge of A / V. You should also have experience with supervising multiple events simultaneously and be able to multitask. Of course, excellent customer service and a positive, team player attitude is a must!
