What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Manager position at The Depot?
The Hubbard County DAC is looking for an energetic and organized individual to join our team at The Depot as an Assistant Manager. This position will assist with managing the retail functions of the store, training of clients, and intake and upkeep of inventory.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the store manager in daily operations and management of the retail store
- Provide excellent customer service and assist customers with their inquiries and concerns
- Train and develop sales clerks on donation and inventory knowledge, customer service skills, and sales techniques
- Supervise and motivate the sales team to provide exceptional customer service
- Manage displays and stock levels to ensure availability of new items for customers
- Assist in maintaining a clean and organized store environment
- Handle administrative tasks such as scheduling, deposits, and reporting
- Train clients and track hours worked and hours attended
- Schedule pickups and deliveries of donations and purchases
- Price and process donations
- Transport clients as necessary
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a retail or customer service role
- Microsoft Word and Excel skills
- Excellent team management and leadership skills
- Current, valid Driver's License
- Ability to pass DHS background check is required
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous management experience
- Previous experience working with persons with disabilities
The Depot is open Monday-Saturday. This position is 40 hours/week, schedule as determined with the Store Manager.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
