The Director of Talent and Culture at Desert Highlands is more than an HR role—it’s an opportunity to shape the employee experience at one of the country’s most prestigious residential golf club communities.

    We’re seeking an innovative leader to oversee all aspects of HR while aligning our people strategy with organizational goals. This position offers the perfect blend of strategic planning, culture-building, and employee engagement, ensuring that Desert Highlands remains a destination not only for its members but also for its talented staff.

    Your Mission

    As the Director of Talent, Culture, and Development , you will :

  • Set the Vision : Lead HR strategy and collaborate with senior leadership to align people and culture initiatives with business objectives.
  • Build the Team : Attract top talent, plan workforce needs, and champion diversity and inclusion.
  • Drive Engagement : Create innovative programs that boost morale, recognize achievements, and foster a positive, thriving workplace.

  • What You’ll Own

    1. Strategic HR Leadership :

  • Partner with leadership to build a high-performance culture that reflects Desert Highlands’ values.
  • Develop and execute HR initiatives to support organizational growth and transformation.
  • 2. Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning :

  • Design recruitment strategies that attract the best and brightest talent.
  • Collaborate on workforce planning to meet future organizational needs proactively.
  • 3. Employee Engagement & Retention :

  • Cultivate a culture of recognition, career growth, and collaboration.
  • Design innovative programs that keep employees inspired and connected.
  • 4. Performance Management & Development :

  • Oversee a robust performance management system with ongoing feedback, goal-setting, and career development.
  • Identify skills gaps and create tailored training solutions to ensure continuous learning.
  • 5. Compensation & Benefits :

  • Manage competitive compensation and benefits programs aligned with organizational goals.
  • Collaborate with finance and leadership to balance budgets while offering top-tier employee packages.
  • 6. Culture Leadership & Inclusion :

  • Lead initiatives to create a culture of inclusion, belonging, and community.

  • 7. Compliance & Employee Relations :

  • Ensure adherence to employment laws and manage HR compliance efforts.

  • 8. Team Leadership :

  • Inspire and mentor the HR team, cultivating a collaborative and innovative environment.
  • Drive accountability and results through effective coaching and support.
  • Who You Are

    Experience :

  • 8 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven track record of leading HR initiatives that support growth, engagement, and organizational excellence.
  • Skills & Expertise :

  • Deep knowledge of HR best practices, labor laws, and compliance standards.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal abilities.
  • Expertise in talent development, culture-building, and change management.
  • Proficiency with HR systems (HRIS, payroll, benefits) and a passion for leveraging technology to enhance HR functions.
  • Education :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Advanced degree or HR certification (SHRM-SCP, SPHR) preferred.
