Dishwasher

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Dishwasher to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and organization within our kitchen environment. This position is essential in supporting our culinary staff by ensuring that all dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized. A passion for hospitality and teamwork is key to succeeding in this role.

Duties

• Efficiently wash, rinse, and sanitize all dishes, pots, pans, and utensils used in food preparation and service.
• Maintain cleanliness of the dishwashing area, including floors, counters, and equipment.
• Assist kitchen staff with food preparation as needed, including basic cooking tasks when required.
• Help with bussing tables and clearing away used dishes to ensure a smooth flow of service.
• Follow proper food handling procedures to maintain health and safety standards.
• Support the culinary team during busy periods by being proactive in cleaning and organizing kitchen supplies.
• Ensure all kitchen equipment is properly maintained and report any issues to the supervisor.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a restaurant or hotel kitchen environment is preferred but not mandatory.
• Knowledge of food handling practices and sanitation standards is a plus.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced team setting while maintaining a positive attitude.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions accurately.
• Must be able to stand for long periods and lift heavy items as needed.
• A passion for culinary arts and hospitality will be beneficial in this role.
