What are the responsibilities and job description for the Night Auditor position at The DeSoto?
The DeSoto Savannah is seeking an experienced PT Night Auditor for Friday and Saturday night 11 pm - 7 am. Previous night auditor experience required!
POSITION TITLE: Night Auditor
DIVISION/DEPARTMENT: Rooms Division/Accounting
REPORTS TO (TITLE): Front Office Manager
BASIC FUNCTION: The Night Auditor is responsible for ensuring that all daily transactions are reconciled and accounted for in accordance with set policies and procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING, & WORK EXPERIENCE
v High school graduate or equivalent.
v Extensive knowledge of Opera
v Knowledge of MICROS systems and procedures to process nightly reports, back up, etc.
v Knowledge of Excel, basic and formula knowledge.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Ensure that the night audit is performed in an accurate and timely manner each night.
2. Complete close day procedures & reports for Micros and Opera
3. Balance Opera Room Charges with Micros.
5. Balance daily credit card postings.
6. Run Daily Opera back-up & Close Day procedures.
7. Input all POS summary information into daily Excel revenue spreadsheet and post revenue in Opera
8. Report all discrepancies to the Assistant Controller.
9. Distribute morning reports.
MARGINAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Respond to any reasonable task assigned by Front Office Manager, Director of Finance, or Assistant Director of Finance
