Job Description
Chef Collin Clemons has been tasked with reinventing the 1540 Room at The DeSoto Savannah Hotel and became a big success in making that dream a reality winning The Best Chef's Award. Our menu is an exploration of smoke and spice, inspired by the spice trade that dominated the global economy for hundreds of years. We utilize product from our partnerships with farmers, ranchers and producers from across the Low Country, applying flavor profiles from across the globe.
We are seeking individuals with a passion for serving and who's excited to create wonderful experiences for our guests. Together, we can create an atmosphere that will keep 1540 Room busy with hotel and local patrons and have them all coming back for more. This position requires you to have PM availability, at least one year of fine dining experience, and the basic knowledge of beer and wine. The ideal candidate will also be expected to work cleanly, possess a willingness to learn and grow and to express a professional demeanor at all times.
The duties include but are not limited to:
Greeting the guest, refreshing drinks, bussing tables, preparing tables for the next guest, stocking supplies, the ability to respond to the needs of the guest, interacting with guests and co-workers in a positive and professional manner, performing the necessary tasks to ensure good customer service.
While the role location will be specifically in our restaurant 1540 Room, this is located within The DeSoto Savannah Hotel and managed by Our Town Hospitality.
