PRIMARY FUNCTION: Breakroom Attendant
DEPARTMENT: Housekeeping
REPORTS TO: Housekeeping Managers & Culinary Managers
SHIFT: 4 days per week, 10AM to 8PM
SUMMARY:
The Dewberry is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Breakroom Attendant to oversee the setup and breakdown of our daily teammate lunch and dinner services. This role is essential in ensuring our teammates enjoy a clean, well-stocked, and welcoming dining experience during their shifts. The ideal candidate will take pride in maintaining the teammate breakroom area to The Dewberry’s standards of cleanliness and hospitality.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Set up and maintain the complimentary teammate lunch and dinner buffet, ensuring food is present attractively and replenished as needed.
- Prepare food wells with either ice or hot water, as necessary.
- Gather serving utensils, cutlery, plates, and napkins.
- Assist the Culinary team with light prep work.
- Break down and clean the buffet area following each meal service, following health and safety guidelines.
- Wash plates and cutlery.
- Restock the breakroom.
- Monitor breakroom inventory, including food, coffee and dairy products, and supplies.
- Notify management when inventory levels are low.
- Prepare and label overnight teammates’ dinners and place in refrigerator.
- Assist teammates with any inquiries or needs related to the breakroom and buffet offerings.
- Ensure teammates do not overserve themselves, join for a meal when not on shift, or prepare to-go meals.
- Follow all food safety and sanitation regulations to maintain a hygienic dining environment.
- Maintain an upbeat and positive attitude when interacting with teammates.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:
- Previous experience in food service, hospitality, or a similar role preferred but not required.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for extended periods.
- Must be available to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
