POSITION SUMMARY:
The Corporate Sales Rep will contribute to the company sales objectives by increasing sales for Turf Distributors in our Business to Business/Retail channel. This Sales Rep is expected to increase volume and acquire new customers by prospecting, networking, and engaging new opportunities. This individual will be adept at managing single and multiple location partners in the Arizona market while maintaining a consistent pipeline of new business. The Sales Rep must have a strong business acumen with a willingness to think outside the box to identify solutions.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Consults with customers to understand their needs
- Demonstrates and explains products, selecting and suggesting options suitable for the customer’s needs
- Answers customer’s questions about our product and installation
- Meet sales goals and objectives as assigned by the Director of Sales
- Develop and execute daily action plan
- Follow up on sales activity to ensure customer satisfaction and client relationship development
- Maintain knowledge about all current products and services. Research local competitor’s products and cost points
- Track and maintain all leads and accounts in CRM staying current on status
- Follow up on leads, contacts, referrals and established accounts with frequency
- Perform outgoing lead generation calls on a regular basis and track through CRM
- Participate in marketing events i.e. trade shows, fairs and in-store events
- Maintain all in store displays, literature and samples
- Identify and acquire new business through networking, social media and cold calling
- Act as a liaison between sales, marketing and logistics
- Provide creative solutions for business growth and opportunity
- Ability to receive and accept coaching and development
REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:

- Ability to recommend merchandise to customers
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Familiarity of CRM software
- Knowledge of successful lead generation (cold calling, social media, etc)
- Proven track record of providing first-rate customer service, focusing on the customer experience
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in sales
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Undergraduate or Graduate degree in Business preferred
- Prior experience with Artificial Turf, Landscape, or flooring sales
- Fluent in both English and Spanish preferred
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Prolonged periods of standing and walking
- Classified as an Outside Sale Representative, must be able to drive to service customers within designated area (spend approximately 60% of the workday in the field)
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times
- Must be able to maneuver, transport, set up and take down, and maintain metal displays for customer sites (approximately 20lbs)
COMPENSATION:
- Annual base plus commissions
