We are seeking a reliable and responsible Delivery Driver to join our team. As a Delivery Associate for Turf Distributors, you will be on the front lines working directly with our customers and members of the community! It will be your job to exceed customer expectations and make sure all orders, large or small, are delivered on time at the right place with outstanding customer service. Monday-Friday, 4AM-12:30PM. Local deliveries with a set schedule that allows our drivers to be home with their families daily.
Summary/Objective
- Daily Delivery of Turf products and accompanying accessories
- Ensure truck is properly loaded and load secured; truck is in operational condition and product is delivered without any damage sustained.
- Unloading product at each stop. Ensuring the order is fulfilled in accordance to the corresponding paperwork, reporting any discrepancies immediately for remedy.
- Perform Pre & Post trip inspections of the vehicle
- Organize end-of-day paperwork for office administration
- Lifting 50 lbs regularly lifting 100 lbs occasionally
- Reflect Artificial Grass Core Values in all business interactions.
- Adhere to safety policies and procedures related to all facets of job
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate would possess the following:
- Minimum of 1 year of delivery experience, preferably bulk items but not required
- 1 year experience as a professional driver
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Must be eligible for coverage under the company's insurance policy which requires: a clean driving record, and the driver's license originally issued over three years ago.
- Ability to safely lift 50 lbs without assistance, and 100 lbs without assistance.
- Must be able to work overtime and occasional Saturdays when needed
- Familiar with manual labor, and ability to utilize basic tools
- Basic math skills
- This position works predominately outdoors delivering to both residential and commercial areas
- Directly interacts with customers on a daily basis
- Early shift 4am start time
Compensation package includes:
