Retail Budtender

Job Summary
We are seeking a knowledgeable and enthusiastic Marijuana Budtender to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in customer service and retail sales, with a passion for educating customers about cannabis products. As a Budtender, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional service, assisting customers in selecting the right products for their needs, and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere in our dispensary.

Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding customer service by greeting and assisting customers with their inquiries about cannabis products.
• Educate customers on various strains, product types, and consumption methods to help them make informed decisions.
• Upsell products by recommending complementary items based on customer preferences and needs.
• Maintain accurate inventory levels by managing stock and conducting regular inventory checks.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations and effective sales strategies.
• Handle cash transactions accurately and responsibly while ensuring compliance with all regulations.
• Conduct product demonstrations to showcase new items or educate customers on usage techniques.
• Supervise junior staff members as needed, providing guidance and support in daily operations.
• Ensure the dispensary is clean, organized, and compliant with all health and safety regulations.

Requirements

• Previous experience in retail sales or customer service is preferred; experience in a grocery store or similar environment is a plus.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with diverse customers; bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.
• Knowledge of cannabis products, including strains, effects, and consumption methods is highly desirable.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also demonstrating initiative in individual tasks.
• Cash handling experience is essential for managing transactions accurately.
• A passion for the cannabis industry and a commitment to providing excellent customer experiences.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.25 - $19.50 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
