Job Description
This position is a valuable part of The Dimock Center Finance Department located in Roxbury, MA. This position will report to the Director of Accounting. Specific responsibilities include:
- Maintain checking, saving, money market, payroll and special purpose accounts; complete monthly reconciliations. Must have bank reconciliation experience.
- Maintain investment accounts, donation, loans, liabilities, and deferred revenue; complete monthly reconciliation.
- Key position to prepare and post general ledger entries for the monthly close.
- Prepare daily cash activity projection report, in charge of cash log.
- Assist with the planning and preparation of the annual budget and strategic plan.
- Provide the requested documents or analysis for annual auditing.
- Support finance department with other various projects and tasks as necessary.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, 4 years’ experience. Master’s Degree strongly preferred
- Well organized and dependable, strong attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines.
- Excellent and effective interpersonal and communication skill.
- Bank Reconciliation experience
- Full working knowledge of Excel. Prefer Sage Intacct and non-profit background.
