Essential Functions/ Performance Standards
JOB KNOWLEDGE - The extent to which the employee demonstrates technical and professional knowledge of job requirements and takes personal responsibility to maintain and improve that knowledge:
The employee is able to fulfill all of the requirements of the job assigned in a satisfactory manner as demonstrated by:
- Clinical Care Care for pediatric patients as part of the pediatric team including physicians, nurse practitioners, students, nurses, medical assistants, and behavioral health and patient advocacy staff.
- Laboratory and Image Review Review and sign off all laboratory and imaging results from patients. Work with team on systems for follow up of any abnormal result, communication of normal results, and management plan for no show labs/imaging.
- Involvement in pediatric QI, operational, and clinical projects.
- Telephone triage answer patient questions on the telephone and ensure that patient visits are triaged appropriately by the office staff.
- Quality control - ensure that staff specimen handling, medical records, and all patient information is performed with systems that enhance accuracy and minimize errors.
- Grants - assist in ensuring that reporting systems for grants are completed in an accurate and timely fashion.
- Other duties as assigned by the Clinical Director.
