What are the responsibilities and job description for the Server position at The Diner?
Responsibilities:
- Greet and seat customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Take food and drink orders accurately and promptly
- Provide excellent customer service, ensuring customer satisfaction
- Assist with food preparation and ensure food handling procedures are followed
- Deliver food and beverages to tables in a timely manner
- Clear tables and clean dining area as needed
- Process customer payments using Aloha POS system
- Upsell menu items and promote specials to increase sales
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a server or in the hospitality industry preferred
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to provide a positive dining experience
- Basic math skills for handling payments and making change
- Knowledge of food preparation and handling procedures
- Familiarity with Aloha POS system is a plus
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
