The Dink, in a joint venture with its partner DUPR, operates The Dink Minor League, the largest amateur pickleball circuit featuring over 200 tournaments across the US and internationally.
YouTube & Social Producer / Editor
The Dink is seeking a full-time video producer / editor to lead production of engaging video content primarily on YouTube as well as social media. This position is ideal for someone with long form and short form video and editing skills, creativity and storytelling ability, strong sourcing and video editing skills, and a passion for sports with an interest in building a career in YouTube and social media production.
Responsibilities :
- Produce and edit video podcasts, YouTube series / shows and short form social content
- Lead all aspects of the production process from recording and scriptwriting to editing
- Coordinate with and schedule talent, guests and personalities for shows
- Develop new show segments, original content ideas and new IP for our YouTube channel and social presence
- Watch, scour and identify newsworthy and / or entertaining moments from across the world of pickleball to incorporate into our podcasts, talking head videos, scripts, etc.
- Work with content team and talent to determine show topics, segments and programming, including arranging guest appearances and coordinating shoot schedule
- Package video assets, and edit footage into compelling and visually-appealing social media storytelling videos that align with current trends and audience preferences
- Arrange video shoots, coordinate with content team and talent accordingly
- Film or acquire / delegate necessary resources for on-site filming at shoot locations and at professional tournaments
- Coordinate with content and marketing teams to develop highly engaging thumbnails, video titles, captions and copy
- Add social editing optimizations to enhance video product to optimize opportunities for video virality
- Adhere to brand guidelines and social media platform specifications to ensure consistent and optimized video content
