The Diocese of Toledo is searching for a Part-Time Donor Support Associate in the Mission Advancement Office (Development Office). Under the direction of the Director of Mission Advancement, the Donor Support Associate performs a wide variety of tasks for the Mission Advancement Office (MAO). Areas of responsibility include processing gifts to the Diocese of Toledo Scholarship Granting Organization (SGO), assisting with gift processing and donor activities related to other campaigns, and providing financial reporting to the Diocesan Finance Office.
Primary responsibilities include:
· Supports the Diocese of Toledo Scholarship Granting Organization (SGO) by processing gifts through Raisers Edge, generating and sending gift acknowledgments, and performing other administrative tasks related to the SGO.
· Processes direct debit and credit card donations, including corrections and changes. Assists with manual exceptions not meeting lockbox processes.
· Provides support to donors, Mission Advancement Office (MAO) staff, and others as they seek information related to donor activity and information.
· Provides necessary information to Finance Office for monthly reconciliation of financial data for Living Christ Campaign and Annual Catholic Appeal.
· Supports donor communications by assisting with thank you letters, courtesy letters, tax letters, and other communications for all campaigns.
· Assists the Advancement Database Administrator as needed in managing the diocesan donor database for the Mission Advancement Office.
Candidates for the position must possess:
· High school diploma or general education degree (GED); with Associate’s or Bachelor's degree in business/management, marketing, communications, non-profit management or related field strongly preferred.
· At least three (3) years of experience in an office support position, with fundraising, development experience preferred.
· Demonstrated computer knowledge and skills, with experience in fund development and constituent relationship management (CRM) software, such as Parish Soft and Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge, and accounting software strongly preferred.
· High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
· Must be able to respect, promote, accommodate, and not be in conflict with the mission, moral and social teachings, doctrines, and laws of the Roman Catholic faith.
