Dispensary Agents at The Dispensary are on the front line when it comes to patients and they must represent the company in a professional manner. A successful budtender becomes a mind-reader, able to let the customer’s goals direct their recommendation, creating repeat patients and fostering an inclusive environment, where patients come not just to buy the best cannabis, but to see friendly faces!

The right candidate will be trustworthy, friendly, and have a deep knowledge of cannabis. A willing attitude to work and to continue learning how to become a better person is essential. Concise communication skills, the ability to learn quickly, and fantastic listening skills are also imperative.

This job requires a self-motivated individual. Weekends, nights, and holiday work will be required. As we are a retail establishment that is open 363 days a year, a dedicated team willing to work when necessary is crucial to the success of the business.

Acute attention to detail will help the business to remain compliant. Knowledge of the COMAR and HIPPA regulations will be necessary.

*Must be at least 21 years old.

*Previous experience with cannabis is preferred.

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Acting as the face of the dispensary, greeting customers
• Facilitating the sale of cannabis products using the POS system
• Educating customers about a variety of cannabis products, including flower, edibles, concentrates, and topicals
• Staying up to date on new products, strains, changes in laws, and industry trends in order to provide the highest level of service to patients
• Weighing and packaging products as needed
• Providing recommendations of cannabis products based on patient's needs
• Advising patients on proper safety measures to follow when consuming cannabis
• Verifying proper identification and paperwork from patients
• Providing exemplary service with a great attitude
• Clear communication with managers
• Assisting in various dispensary operations; maintaining hygienic conditions, checking in patients at the front desk, daily opening/closing duties, filling online orders, any other tasks that will help the dispensary operate on a day to day basis

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $15.00 per hour
