What are the responsibilities and job description for the Event Set Up and Tear Down position at The District?
The Part-Time Setup/Teardown Lead assists with event setup/teardown duties at The District. This role requires a flexible part-time schedule, attention to detail, and the maintenance of a safe environment for staff and patrons.
Required Qualifications
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends
- Physical ability to lift 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
- Valid Drivers License
Event Setup & Teardown
- Lead and supervise the setup/teardown crew for all events
- Ensure proper placement and configuration of stage equipment, barriers, and crowd control elements
- Coordinate with production teams regarding specific event requirements
- Maintain inventory of venue equipment and supplies
- Ensure all areas are correctly reset after events
Work Schedule
- Part-time position averaging 10-20 hours per week
- Hours will vary based on the event schedule
- Schedule to be provided by management at least one week in advance when possible
- Additional hours may be available based on business needs
- All staffing must be approved by management
Compensation
- Base pay rate: $18- $30.00 per hour
- Base pay rate: $18- $30.00 per hour
- Pay period: Bi-weekly via ACH through ADP/The District Payroll system.
- Annual performance review with potential for wage increase based on performance
- Overtime pay at 1.5x base rate for hours worked beyond 40 in a week, in accordance with state law
