Bakery/Cafe Associate - Front Lead

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Bakery/Cafe Front Lead to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the daily operations of our bakery/cafe, ensuring that our products are prepared, presented, and served to the highest standards. This position requires a passion for friendly customer service, strong time management skills, and a commitment to maintaining a clean and organized cafe environment. This position will lead 2-4 staff daily and must have strong communication skills, the ability to delegate work, and motivate others to create a fun and efficient environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the cafe area by following proper food safety protocols.
• Help with inventory management by restocking supplies and prepping food for the following day.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently while adhering to health regulations.
• Ensure daily tasks are being complete to keep clean, orderly, and organized work stations in each area of the bakery/cafe.
• Provide excellent customer service by assisting with sales transactions using Square POS.
• Communicate with other staff to ensure speedy and accurate service to customers.
• Point of contact for customers with questions and concerns.
• Ensure staff breaks are scheduled and allowed.
• Delegate jobs to others while still being willing to complete all jobs that need to be completed daily.

Skills

• Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen sanitation practices.
• Familiarity with Square POS systems is preferred but not required.
• Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented setting while also being self-motivated.
• Previous experience in a restaurant or retail environment is a plus but not mandatory.
• Attention to detail and a passion for creating a fun atmosphere while providing excellent customer service.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $13.50 - $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
